Volkswagen has been a proud supporter of independent film for some time and they have a great series of ads in which people give VERY alternate takes on popular films (Toy Story, Die Hard, Star Wars, etc) that actually make sense. Check them out here.

The Lord of the Rings critique is almost the EXACT same one I made after seeing the movies - those birds totally could have just lifted Elijah Wood onto the lip of the volcano and he could have chucked the ring in.
Damn you Tolkien and Peter Jackson - your three films wasted approximately 58 hours of my life.
